About The Princess Diana Museum
After Princess Diana’s death her personal belongings were sold at private auctions and scattered all over the world. It is our mission and passion to preserve as many of her personal belongings, now historical items, as we can in one place, The Princess Diana Museum. With over 2700 pieces of Diana’s most iconic, carefully curated, personal and historical artifacts, we currently house one of the largest collections in the world. Displayed in a 3D interactive environment, the virtual museum spans Diana’s lifetime, from early childhood through her teenage years and until her tragic death, depicting her incredible life & legacy.

"The Princess and the Platypus Museum is truly a must-see! The online museum piqued my curiosity when I saw it mentioned on another website, and I was immediately intrigued by the name and the concept. Bottom line: It does not disappoint!
Multiple rooms are divided by significant events in Princess Diana’s life, including her engagement and wedding, children, charity work, and untimely passing. Each exhibit room contains a plethora of items; the sheer number is mind-boggling, showing the great care that went into each area. Multimedia descriptions are woven throughout each exhibit. Just like a regular museum, this one boasts seating and a gift shop! There are video screens on several walls, also, showing various segments of Princess Diana’s life.
The site itself is easy to navigate with a map listing each room in the museum. Once you enter the lobby area, you can take a self-guided tour and linger as long as you wish in each area. My favorite rooms were those devoted to the Wedding of the Century and the Christie’s auction, where many of Princess Diana’s dresses were auctioned for charity after her divorce.
The Princess and the Platypus Museum reflects the creator’s love and admiration for Princess Diana and her desire to honor the memory of a truly unique person who captivated the world. The Princess Diana Museum displays important pieces from Diana's life. There are over 90 articles of clothing, including never seen before shoes and dresses she wore as a baby, clothing she wore as a teenager, and most notably the iconic Versace Atelier dress she wore on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, which was also the featured dress at “Diana Her Fashion Story” on loan to Kensington Palace for over 2 years.
